Baera Forest offers opportunities for a wide variety of outdoor activities for the whole family. From kayaking and hiking to wild berry harvesting, and even “Gnome Hunting”! You can add the fishing option to your stay, spend quality time on our lake and bring back supper to your cabin as you come back to shore. Quality time, with friends or family, away from the urban stress and noise. Nothing but the best way to unplug and be one with nature!

If you love fishing, you can enjoy your favorite activity both in summer and winter at Baera Forest!
We offer you six lakes with brook, rainbow and lake trout., while one of our lakes has northern pike. Lure or fly fishing can allow you to catch nice, large fish from this beautiful natural habitat.

What’s in a name?
“Baera” means wild berry in Norwegian. Large, untamed natural spaces found in this Scandinavian country inspired us to carve out our unique outfitter identity and create a great experience which anyone can enjoy. We admire and are thankful for the resilience and bountifulness of these small fruits found here and there, everywhere around Baera Forest. Come and see – and taste – for yourself!
